2019/2020 Programme

Due to Coronavirus, our programme was cancelled from March onwards. We hope to give those talks next year instead.

The academic year 2019-20 programme will be in University of London Senate House, Malet Street on the following Saturdays at 2.00pm (except in December and May):

12 October 2019 Room 234 Professor Alexandra Harris, University of Birmingham on “Local Vision.” From William Cowper’s celebration of his Buckinghamshire home as a fragment of paradise in the fallen world to Stanley Spencer’s paintings of the prophets and the afterlife in his back garden, British art and literature suggests that there need be nothing minor about local knowledge
